Feasibly is a screening tool. It returns structured planning data drawn from public government sources — zone codes, schedule values, overlay layers, lot geometry, envelope parameters — for any Australian address in the seven states we cover.

Feasibly does not provide professional planning advice. It does not interpret grey areas, exercise discretion, or stand behind a registered planner's sign-off. For decisions that require professional reliance — bidding, contracts, council submissions, VCAT — engage a qualified town planner, surveyor, architect, or lawyer.

What the data is, and isn't.

What it is: live or recently-cached values from official sources. Every response carries a _meta.confidence tag (verified / default / unverified), a _meta.source_url link, and a freshness date. The wrong-zone guarantee means we underwrite the zone-code accuracy with a refund + 10 credits + dataset correction if we get it wrong.

What it isn't: a substitute for a Section 32 disclosure, a 10.7 certificate, a planning permit application, a VCAT submission, a feasibility study, a structural engineering opinion, a survey-grade boundary determination, or any other professionally-attested document.

Verify with the relevant council.

Council planning schemes change. Amendments are gazetted weekly. Our daily monitor catches most VPP changes within 24 hours, but state authority data can lag and council schedules can be revised between gazettal and publication.

Before relying on a Feasibly response for any consequential decision, verify with the relevant council planning department or the official source authority for that state. Use Feasibly to filter, screen, triage, draft, not to commit.

Limitations we're explicit about.

• Coverage: 7 states (VIC, NSW, SA, QLD-SEQ, WA, ACT, TAS) and ~455 councils. NT is deferred, no working spatial API. QLD coverage is South-East QLD councils only.
• Depth: VIC is schedule-deep (council-specific schedules manually codified). The other six states are state-API-deep.
• Latency: some state authority APIs can be intermittent. Feasibly returns a clear failure rather than fall back to a guess.
• Edge cases: recent gazettals (within 24 hours), addresses in zone-boundary areas, or properties spanning multiple zones may carry lower confidence tags.

Data attribution, licensing, and use.

Underlying planning data is sourced from public government datasets — State of Victoria (DTP), NSW (DPIE), SA (PlanSA), QLD (State Heritage Register), WA (Landgate / SLIP), ACT (ACTmapi), Tasmania (theLIST), and Geoscape G-NAF for geocoding. Used under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.

Liability, tersely.

Feasibly is provided on an "as is, with all faults" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Feasibly disclaims liability for losses arising from reliance on the screening data, whether the loss is commercial, planning-related, contractual, or otherwise.

Where statutory consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law apply and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to (at our option) re-supplying the service, or refunding the credit cost of the relevant lookup.
