Source-of-truth scan
Every weekday morning a Cloudflare Worker hits api.app.planning.vic.gov.au/planning/v2/schemes/ and diffs the response against yesterday’s baseline. The diff is the email. Every row links to the official planning scheme page so you can cite the source directly.

Specify the councils you work in at signup. We filter the daily diff to that list. A consultant covering 4 LGAs gets nothing 95% of weeks, until something changes, and then they get the only email they need.

What it actually means
One email every Friday. The week’s notable amendments, interpreted: which ones change setbacks, which add overlays, which only renumber clauses. Written by a Melbourne architect who reads the gazette every day — the difference between “an amendment was gazetted” and “here’s how it changes a feasibility check.”

What we watch, every night.
Victoria is monitored by scraping the amendment register. The other six are monitored by checking each government dataset’s own published currency against a stored baseline. Both run nightly. The date below each state is what the government publishes for that dataset — upstream cadence, not our check date.

There is a third check the first two would miss. Zone and overlay maps can stay untouched while the statewide rule documents we read building envelopes from are amended — the WA R-Codes, the Queensland Development Code, the Tasmanian State Planning Provisions, the NSW Housing SEPP, the ACT Territory Plan. A text amendment to any of those changes what is buildable without moving a single polygon. So we watch the in-force version of each document too.

What the nightly scan caught in the last month. Victoria comes from the amendment register; New South Wales from per-council LEP currency on the state zoning service. This is the same feed a subscriber receives, filtered to their councils.
