Connect Feasibly to ChatGPT.

Custom connector via Developer Mode. ChatGPT stops fabricating zone codes and starts citing the actual planning scheme.

Works with ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise plans. The connector pattern is OpenAI's standard MCP integration.

Setup

Three steps to a custom connector.

ChatGPT Plus / Team / Enterprise users can add custom MCP connectors via Developer Mode. The connector lives in your chat sidebar.

G. 01

Enable Developer Mode.

Go to chatgpt.comSettingsBeta features → toggle Developer Mode. Reload chat. A new "Connectors" panel appears in your sidebar.

Note

Developer Mode requires a ChatGPT Plus, Team, Pro, or Enterprise plan. Free-tier accounts can't add custom connectors yet.

G. 02

Add Feasibly as a custom connector.

Click ConnectorsAdd custom connector. Fill in:

  • NameFeasibly
  • DescriptionAustralian planning intelligence
  • URLhttps://mcp.feasibly.com.au/mcp?key=YOUR_API_KEY
  • Authentication — None (key is in URL)

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key from app.feasibly.com.au/register.

G. 03

Use Feasibly in a new chat.

Start a new conversation. Click the tools icon at the bottom and enable Feasibly. Ask: "What's the planning zone of 12 Smith Street, Brunswick VIC?" ChatGPT will call Feasibly and return source-linked data.

Common gotchas

Two things that break ChatGPT setups.

Both are easy fixes once you know.

!. 01

"Connector authentication failed."

Almost always a key formatting issue. Re-paste the API key carefully, no leading/trailing spaces, no line breaks. The key is feasibly_sk_ followed by 32 hexadecimal characters — 44 in total.

!. 02

"Tool not available."

In a new chat, the connector toggle defaults to off. Click the tools icon and enable Feasibly explicitly. Per-chat preference, not global.

Ready to screen?

Get a free key, add the connector, ask ChatGPT about a property.

If we get the zone wrong, that lookup is free and we credit ten more.
